Children's Community Theatre is hiring for ALL positions for ths year's Imagination Camps. Below is a breif description of each job available. Teacher, Beginner's Camp
  • The Teacher will lead and educate a group of campers through two weeks of theatre camp!
  • They will be responsible for the creation of a 15-20 min script that is appropriate for their age group, contains one song to be performed within the script, is pertaining to the chosen theme for camp, and can accommodate up to 25 campers.
  • Coordinate with the Camp Coordinator to complete the script.
  • Develop a lesson plan for the 10 days of camp that includes working in theatre and acting. Must also include theatre games to fill in down town and engage the campers, help them get to know each other, and get into the atmosphere of theatre.
  • Works with the Dance, Music, and Art Teachers to create a coheasive experience for campers.
  • Assist campers through the travel to each location during camp including pick-up.
  • Communicate with parents for costume/prop ideas, as well as theatre advice for their children.
  • Supervise and Discipline as per CCT Discipline policies.
  • Discuss and camper concerns with Camp Coordinator and/or Assistant Coordinator
  • Communicate with Camp Coordinator for any equipment or supply needs.
  • Must attend and instruct campers through any and all performances.

Teaching Assistants, Beginner's Camp

  • Encourage expression and personal growth of all campers.
  • Assist Dance, Music, and Art Teachers as needed.
  • Assist Campers through the travel to each location of the rehearsal space and performances during camp including pick-up.
  • Help Teacher keep control of group throughout the day and report to the teacher any problems a camper may be experiencing.
  • Give individual help to a camper if requested by the instructor.
  • Be responsible for bathroom breaks and individual needs of campers as they arise.
  •  Must attend and instruct campers through any and all rehearsals and performances.

Music Director, Beginner's Camp

  • Create lesson plans for the 10 days of camp that include lessons about music in theatre for each age level.
  • Work with Camp Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator, and Choreographer to create an Opening and Closing number.
  • Rehearse each groups musical number as picked by each groups teacher.
  • Keep order and establish control as outlined by the CCT Discipline guidelines.
  • Communicate with parents as needed to enhance the camp experience.
  • Discuss any camper concerns with the Camp Coordinator and/or Assistant Coordinator.
  • Communicate with Camp Coordinator and/or Assistant Coordinator for any equipment or supply needs.
  • Must attend and instruct campers through any and all performances.

Choreographer, Beginner's Camp

  • Create lesson plans for the 10 days of camp that include lessons about dance in the theatre for each age level
  • Choreograph an opening number, ending number, and individual numbers per group that relate to the overall theme of camp, each script, and are still appropriate for each age level.
  • Working with the Music Teacher and Camp Coordinator/Assistant Coordinator on the creation of the Opening and Ending numbers.
  • Keep order and establish control as outlined by the CCT Discipline guidelines.
  • Communicate with parents as needed to enhance the camp experience.
  • Discuss any camper concerns with the Camp Coordinator and/or Assistant Coordinator.
  • Communicate with Camp Coordinator and/or Assistant Coordinator for any equipment or supply needs.
  • Must attend and instruct campers through any and all performances.


Art Director, Beginner's Camp

  • Make Lesson plans for the 10 days of camp that include art and set design in the theatre for each age group.
  • Help campers create set pieces and props that are appropriate for the theme, pertain to each groups script, and are appropriate for each age group.
  • Keep order and establish control as outlined by the CCT Discipline guidelines.
  • Communicate with parents as needed to enhance the camp experience.
  • Discuss any camper concerns with the Camp Coordinator and/or Assistant Coordinator.
  • Communicate with Camp Coordinator and/or Assistant Coordinator for any equipment or supply needs.
  • Must attend and instruct campers through any and all performances.
